Tom Tam is the chief Tai Chi instructor at the Tam Healing Center and has been practicing and teaching tai chi for over 30 years. Tom is an expert in Yang Style Tai Chi and studied under Grand Master Gin Soon Chu, the fifth descendant disciple of Yang Style Tai Chi.
Tai Chi and Chi Gong are exercises that help strengthen muscles, joints, ligaments and connective tissues. Physical exercises such as weightlifting and running can increase energy and make the body stronger, but sometimes, these activities are too punishing on our bodies. Exercises such as Chi Gong and Tai Chi are gentle, yet effective in strengthening the body as well as the mind.
